This is off topic here, but I can't think of anywhere that would be more
relevant, and I figure that enough folks might be interested in this...
I've got MANY programs which came on CD. I'm always trying to find my CD's
and I'm always worried about scratching them when handling.
With hard drives being so cheap, I'd like to copy the program disks to a
removeable hard drive. The problem is that some software will only install
from it's original media, some will install from an image copy, and some
software can be a simple file copy.
Does anyone know of a list online showing what software MUST be installed
from the orignal media? How about any ISO/image of the CD? What software can
I simply copy to a folder on the hard drive?
