When I enter part of the group name in the group name field, it
searches for that text in the body of the posts too. Sometimes it
doesn't find posts that are obviously there, especially like when I
quote text. If I put quoted text in the unquoted text field, it will
usually find the post that way. Not very recently, but sometimes it
would find only posts that were over six months old. And then there
is the author field that cannot cope with non-alphanumeric
characters. Seems to me that somebody up there doesn't like us :(

It's been broken for several years now, ever since they starting f*cking
with the original dejanews interface.

Yep, I am surprised because normally google does a good job but in this
case, probably some new manager came to the company and decided to try and
make a name for himself, so, google screwed up the newsgroup interface,
under the guise of, 'it is so much better now'.

When they asked for feedback, I said whoever is pushing these changes
through is a moron but it seems they are going to do what they want anyway.
