Can't find an office 2000 newsgroup.
I am darn sure I left a copy of office 2000 with a person. Did I install
it? Can't remember really. Is there a txt file hiding or registry entry
that would prove it was or was not? Just wondering if the accountant (who
mysteriously and quite literally, disappeared, ran off with it) The lady
did sign a shipping report but she is claiming I was coming back to install
the office product. < sigh >
Thanks.

There are signs of office97. Where I am going with this is, did the
accountant uninstall 2000 then take office2000 and install office97? I'm
looking for more like a txt file or registry entry. Thanks again.

You may be able to tell by looking for the presence or absence of
certain features. There is a feature comparison list for the several
generations of Office at:

How about locating where the version information for Word (or Excel etc.) is
stored and then checking that against the correct information for O2K? I'm
assuming you can't just have someone open Word and do a Help / About to get
the version info.

Thanks for all the replies. The lady found her cd after I faxed a signed
invoice to her. Always Always Always get a signed shipping report. Did I
mention always?
