OT How and where are dreams rendered?

You ever wonder about that. Obviously we have the ability to
visualize graphically without actually seeing through our eyes. So
it must be rendered someplace, on a little movie screen in there?
 
Press on your closed eyes strongly. See the light flashes?
That's neural activity. Dreams: same thing, just more complex.
Apparently, a useful keyword would be "functional MRI" or fMRI.
That's one of the tools used for watching the brain.
