OT: Freeware or trial music re-mixer to back my videos?

Can't find a better group to post this too, and as it's to back a moviemaker
video, here goes!
Can someone suggest the best freeware (or trial - I only need to do it once)
application to to a remix/mashup a few tunes?
I'm not a DJ, but I just need to do a little bit of beat matching - so I
need to be able to "see" the music - basically, I'm looking for Windows
Movie Maker, but for sound!
I've downloaded Audacity, but I don't want to set off on the wrong path if
there's something better!

There's a trial version of Adobe Audition that should do the job at
www.adobe.com... or google for Goldwave.

Have you checked out www.freeplaymusic.com ? It REALLY is totally free,
music is all original production type...
