I remember from time to time there are people asking about
free newssever, I ran into this one that allow you you receive
news through emails if you don't have a news sever. I think
it is kind of neat:

Have anyone used this one before? Any good?

and then there is the granddaddy of them all
new.individual.net


FWIIW, one news reader I had would scan for server names from an
existing account, and then test to see if they allowed guest
post/read. Alas it was shareware... but a script maven could probably
cobble up somnething to do the same.

Before this OT closes, does anyone use www.bubbanews.com? It says it's
free, but requires a credit card to. Has anyone had any experience with
this "free" server? Thanks.
