Hi,

I used a very free, font view program a year ago.
Since then, I lost the track of it including its name.
Could someone recommend a free, font viewing program?
TIA. Jorge

There must be thousands of these. Have you searched with Google? Try a
few of the programs listed (after taking the usual cautions to protect
yourself) and see what you like best.

It interests me that you would ask a total stranger for a recommendation
for such a common program. Especially when you don't say what features
would make such a program desirable in your eyes.

A program that I like could be awful for you. Or maybe I'll tout a
malware-infested rogue program? Or something not suitable for your computer?

Now, if you were looking for something hard-to-find, or highly advanced,
I could see you asking for help.

In the past I've used FontList and FontFrenzy, both, handily enough,
available at SnapFiles: http://www.snapfiles.com/Freeware/gmm/fwfont.html -
a page you'd find as a useful starting place. But I agree with Leonard -
what *you're* looking for in such a program might differ greatly from what
*I* happen to like.

Something I found most useful years ago was a custom Word macro - you'd run
it, type in your text, and it would produce a document listing that text in
every font that you had installed. Must dust off VBA skills, must dust off
VBA skills...

Google "AMP font viewer".

It's "very free", just like the one you lost.

Are you always such an over-stuffed, pompous ass or did I catch you at
a bad time?

It was AMP font viewer.
Thank you.

Jorge

Glad I could help you.

You should tell the a**hole with all the rude questions to bite your
butt ;-)

My, aren't you setting a good example.

I answered the guy's question without all the posturing and it was
exactly what he was looking for.

I helped him.

Yeah, I set a good example.
