It has always worked correctly, up until just yesterday.
When I enter a group of boxes/squares that means something in
Japanese and then hit "translate", in the translation box, those
boxes turn into English looking (HTML?) code before being
"translated" by BabelFish. And all it does is return a duplicate
of those codes.
It has worked perfectly up until yesterday. I would take some
Japanese code (in the form of boxes with numbers inside) to
BabelFish, and BabelFish would (poorly) translate that code into
English. Like I said, now the browser does some pre-translation of
those boxes into English character codes (looks like HTML), then
the translation comes back as a useless duplicate.
This is a page with lots of examples.

Before today, I could just grab some of those boxes that include
two numbers and plug them into BabelFish to get the Japanese to
English translation. Now, some pre-translation occurs that changes
those boxes into what might be HTML code before BabelFish tries to
translate it, and it fails.
I'm using Firefox 10.0.2. Maybe I will do a Windows restore and
check that, before doing the latest Firefox update.
