My ISP isn't carrying the exchange2000 usenet groups, so I apologize in
advance for the off-topic post, but we're in a bit of a pinch here and I
need some advice.
We inherited an Exchange 2000 server which was built horribly wrong. Its
not stable, leaks memory like a firehose, and is nearly out of space.
None of the local or domain user accounts have any access to the
mailboxes, the information store, etc. The administrator account, domain
admin, etc., are all explicitly denied access to all sorta of stuff.
Email is flowing, but we can't do any maintenence on the box.
I'm not an Exchange kinda guy, so maybe this is par for the course.
The gist of this is that we want to be able to migrate mailboxes to a new
Exchange server. But we have virtually no access on the existing server.
What to do?
The thought of making 900 pst files at individual desktops makes me
ill....
Thanks.
