I know this is off topic, but I also know people here know a lot about free
stuff. I'm looking for an email service that will allow me to send at
least
20mb attachments if not larger ones. The bigger the better. I don't want
a
place to upload the attachment for the person to download. I want it to
go
straight to their mailbox. Also, I would prefer it to be web based.

Sorry again for the off topic post. Thanks for your time.
Sounds a bit pointless, unless you *know* that the recipient can receive
attachments of 20mb or greater - I know I can't on a lot of my email
accounts.

The free version of Yahoo Mail will let you put 10MB on an e-mail. The
paid version will support up to 20MB. You could use the free account
and a file splitter (I use an old version of CHOP). Not that hard to
do.

I've used the http://s7.yousendit.com/ service to send 400MB+ files. No
problem.

They can accept very large files. Larger than this.

Be your own e-ail provider!
Install an smtp service onyour PC (or server) and use it as server for
outgoing mail
You can keep your current e-mail adress for incomming messages.

For example http://www.postcastserver.com/
If configured properly, the smtp server will directly send to the mailserver
of the other party.

one thing thoug: be sure your PC is protected with a firewall or 2 to
prevent spammers form using your smtp server. A tigned net router should
normally be sufficient.

Yousend it is also nice, but will still require the files to be uploaded to
their server. If houwever you are unable to setup an smtp server, yoursent
it is about the next secure thing (contents will be auto-erased after 7
days)

If you know they can accept large files you should be able to sent it
via standard messures...

Most ISP's have the limit on recieving not sending
