Rod, the latest Ad-aware effectively removes this latest hijack if set to
run in Deep Scan mode and then the operating system booted into Safe Mode
and then Ad-aware is run. Of course the system must be rebooted to let
Ad-aware remove what it finds.

AVG anti virus detects the left over files and they can be sent to the
quarantine.

Support enhancements were withdrawn because the author has become very busy
with his scholastic endeavors and the programming language has reached its
limits in removing the trojan.

Thanks for that information, I'm already using both Ad-aware and AVG, it's
good to know thet can handle this problem.
I wish Merijn all the best with his new study in Utrèg.

Well, the site says :

"Q. When will CWShredder be updated again?
A. It won't be again, probably. I have a few bugs to fix, but after that
there's not much left to do - I simply do not have the tools to remove the
latest variants, they are too agressive or complicated to allow automated
removal by CWShredder. "

So I guess he's saying it farewell. I don't blame him, he did an excellent
job during his studies to help people out, spending a lot of time on the
CWshredder project. A thing to admire.
