Hi all,

I'm looking to find an ISP in the USA that offers a dialup service that
I could access from anywhere in New england and surrounding states. I'm
not in the USA at the moment, so I'm just Googling around trying to find
what's on offer. Have any of you heard of a fairly inexpensive service
of this sort? I do not want to have long distance call charges, so I'm
thinking a service with an 800 number maybe?

TIA,

Ari

only downside is they disconnect after so many minutes of inactivity but if
you set your mail program to check for new mail every few minutes that's
usually enough to stay connected.

Budget Dialup. You can set it up manually or use their software to connect.
I suggest you use their software to connect, as it makes changing locations
much easier. You pay in advance for a certain amount of minutes. Most
locations in the U.S., there is a local number. There is also an 800 number
to use, but it uses up your remaining minutes faster.

If you are looking for a solution to last longer than a planned trip, try
PeoplePC. -Dave

Their website says that there are no real monthly limits on hours, but
they say nothing about monthly download limits. Do they have monthly
download limits?
