OT best backup device ?

Well i am relativly new to this .... i want a device that can backup over
network that is reliable , fast & economical..
my backup includes , approx 5gb of data, that needs to be backup everyday
....

also wat should be better , hardware or software backup system ?

What are your requirements?

Are you just backing up files?

Are you trying to backup Exchange, SQL Server, etc...

Are you wanting a complete disaster recovery solution?

Do you need to take a copy off-site?
 
my backups will mainly include data files & sql server & oracle server

Backup to a RAID5 array device and then do backups of that as needed.
This provides high-speed access to your backup data, redundancy on the
system, and permits you to run tape backups anytime during the day
without locking files.
