PuppyKatt said:And for those who have nothing better to do than stare at the
"downloading update" screen for half an hour while it does nothing,
get your updates now, before they sell out. AVG is really beginning
to piss me off with their non-downloadable updates. I am still on
307, and after waiting for half an hour for something toj happen, I
get a message saying that my system is up to date. Or, sometimes I
am lucky and get told that I am not connected to the internet.

Helen said:Huh? I just reduce it and let it do it's thing while I
continue reading, writing or visiting. No problem here. It's
been on my computer for three years doing the automatic
updates (scheduled). Sometimes I update at times other than
those scheduled (2:00 A.M. EST). I have found the server
there to be very busy sometimes, but most of the time, no
problem while it's downloading, I do other things... like read
this ng msgs. <g>
Maureen Goldman said:For the past two days I've been unable to get the download even to
start at the website (never gets to the download box stage). The
automatic updater has been nonfunctional since the start of the
msblaster crisis.
So where are you located? Have you received it yet? I always update
from within the program and have never experienced a problem even
during the latest 'wormy days'.
Interesting update at the bottom it shows virus database 308 or didn'tJust updated to 309, but man...was it slooooooooooow!
