OT: anyone else unable to access hotmail today (3/12/04)?

I can't get at hotmail servers, nor can I open www.hotmail.com this
afternoon. Wondering if it's something in my region or if their servers are
down. Anyone else having trouble?

I can't get on either. After perusing several other newsgroups, it appears
that it's a widespread problem.

they were (are) having major problems today
