I'm using Vista Windows Mail for my newsreader.

The newsreader will show me there's a post been posted in this
group (microsoft.public.win2000.active_directory), yet when I click on the
newsgroup, I don't see new postings displayed.

It's only with this newsgroup. I've tried unsubscribing, deleting the
associated
files, restarting the newsreader, re-subscribing, compacting, etc, but to no
avail.

Appreciate any comments. And yes, I know, there are better ones out there...
I just don;t want to go through the difficulty of trying to catch up with
all of
my watched threads if I decide to use another one, such as Omea, etc, when
there is no real export function for this type of thing that I'm aware of.

Thanks!

Ace.

I'm using the same newsreader and I see your message. The previous message
dated 7/10/2009 is spam and probably is deleted (I have not refreshed), then
a thread dated 6/30 with subject "Wirelss Radio" and posts up to 7/2 (the
last by you).

Thanks, Rich. I see the same thing you are, and I actually see my post! So
my newsreader is/was seeing the spammed postings, but they must have gotten
deleted before the newsreader had a chance to download the headers. Ok, I
feel a little better now!!

Thanks!

Just to add, I just clicked on the group name, indicating there are 5 new
posts (that shows up in parenthesis next to the newsgroup name). I clicked
on my own reply to you, which reduced it to 4, but I don't see the 4 that's
indicated. Oh well... :-)

I am running Windows 7 and I am old school, so... I loaded Virtual PC 2007
and have an XP sessions running with Outlook Express. :-)

Hmm, maybe I should step back a few and do the same. Only thing, not sure if
I can export/import my watched threads, which is a big hassle changing
newsreader clients.
