As you were the third person to suggest superantispyware.com I went there
and downloaded their FREE program.
All it does is tell me I have a virus and I need to BUY their program to
remove it. I thought this site was better than that.

You need to download the free Version not the Professional one!.
Try this:
Scan for malware from here:
http://onecare.live.com/site/en-gb/default.htm?s_cid=sah
http://onecare.live.com/standard/en-gb/default.htm
All recommended Downloads for Anti-spyware:

I reran the free version and it did NOT find the malware. My last post was
wrong as antispyshield had overwritten the free scan on the screen and
mislead me to think antispyware was saying buy free program.
Others have suggested the pro trial so I will give it a shoot even though
you say "no" . Better try then pass. will advise.

Okay, try to download this app:
http://www.comodo.com/boclean/boclean.html

Download the Hijackthis and run a scan then please send me the log at the
address below:
Can you please send me a copy at (e-mail address removed) , remove
the obvious to email me.
Let us know your progress.
