With this .ani problem out there, going to unvetted sites is an invitation
to disaster. A lot of JavaScript stuff there. I am not that proficient at
decoding what it is trying to do. I am not going to turn loose a JS enabled
browser on that site.

Are you saying that JavaScript is required for the ANI vulnerability?
AFAIK, CSS can be used to point to an animated cursor and execute malicious
code.
So even if you surf with JavaScript disabled, you are still vulnerable
unless you have patched your machine.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

Not at all. I am just saying I won't visit a suspicious sit loaded with Java
Script; especially with exploits in the wild. Why must people read more into
words than were intended?
