Hey group...

We have a Windows 2000 Server & 10 Macs running OS9 - all is well with
the world. We decided to start migrating to OSX and have an issue. When
copying fonts from the OSX box to the server, something "bad" is
happening. Once the copying is done, the fonts are no longer
recognizable by Suitcase, the Mac, our RIPing software....nothing...
Even copying the fonts back to the Mac, they are still unrecognizable.
Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Bob Vayda

Hi Bob!

Are you connecting to the server via "afp://" or "smb://"?

Copying via SMB will ignore Mac file resource forks, which may be necessary
for the applications you mention.

To be able to copy via AFP, you'll need to install File Services for
Macintosh from the Windows 2000 Server installer CD.

Hope this helps! bill

I'll stop in the office tomorrow & see if it helps... I was connecting
using SMB: so this is probably the problem!

Thanks!
