I closed my lid of my notebook, but then reopened it,
only to find that it was going into Hibernation Mode,
like it was supposed to. When my dad opens it up, he
finds the message "Operating System Not Found". I believe
its stuck in a Hibernation loop if there's such a thing,
because I can't access BIOS settings...I hope its not a
virus...but anyone please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you tried removing the battery then replacing it?

Hate to break it to you but it's not that Tegger..........um.....let's see if this helps: I have a Dell Inspiron 2600, and when it tries to load, what happens is it initializes the utility (MBA) that I'm guessing is supposed to run when coming back from Hibernation......it actually worked one period of time, and i closed it, and reopened it, and it was fine, but now I'm getting the same msg again....

Have you actually _tried_ cutting power to the machine entirely by removing
the battery and unplugging the cord from the wall?

And why can't you get to the BIOS Settings?
