We have a Win2K AD with a password policy of 'change password every 90
days'. A user (OS 10.3.2) is trying to connect to a file share on a domain
member server. His password has expired. Since he cannot log on, OS 10.3.2
won't connect. It won't even tell him that his password has expired.
We are using SMB to make this connection. I realize I could probably
install the UAM on the client and share the files as a Mac volume, but we
are trying to use SMB on all the new Macs and just create 'regular' Windows
shares on the severs.
1) why won't the OS natively tell him his password has expired and prompt a
change? (doesn't the samba client comply with password expiration?)
2) is there any way to change your AD password from within 10.3.2?
Anybody dealt with this?
Thanks
