How do I delete an orphan reminder in Outlook (2007). The appointment has
been deleted, but the reminder repeats every day and every time any other
reminder is displayed. Trying to dismiss it brings an error message: "Cannot
turn off the reminder. You may be reminded again. Cannot locate recurrence
information for this appointment."

I have the same problem. First it was one, now overnight, it mulitplied to
three, all reminding me of a common calendar entry, but as SRF indicates
below, the software can't locate the recurrence information.

I have the same issue with multiple recurring reminders. I can no longer see
the correct time of appointments and the older ones are corrupt.

Is there a simple solution on how to fix this?
Seems to be a pretty common issue that merits a fix or a response at the
very least.

I also have this problem. I can find some ways to fix this, but none that
work in Vista.

Try this: Put the calendar in a table view, then open each item until you
receive the error message and delete it. View > Arrange By > Current View >
Recurring Appointments. "By Category" allows you to see everthing in your
calendar and recurring appointments filters for just the recurring entries.
