Ron...

How does one compare 2 different directories - to see if they are the
same....

I have thousands of digital photo's and they are all over the place and I
want to organize them.

Or does anyone have a suggestion? Same picture different location or name?

Thanks....

Maybe a program like MS Digital Image
Suite 2006 would be useful to you. It includes
Digital Image Library 2006 which is an
excellent program for organizing/archiving/
editing digital images.

The Library will scan and catalog all the images
and video clips on your hard drive. And...there is
an option that will allow you to search for...
"Similar" images or videos.

I don't understand your Term-Directories..since I have Folders w/jpeg images
as the File Extension is what I use to MOVE photo's to another place(or keep
the same File-extension)..if your attempting to decide on what to do w/a
photo..place your Cursor over the photo..and read the INFO for the File..or
RENAME your jpg image and place it somewhere else..Photo's are managed by the
most convienant size..I EMAIL them at about 60-KB..and maintain the original
at about 400-600 KB..and can have a IMAGE grow to 1.2 MB's if edtited..that's
about all I need to know.
