I'm trying to organize the "Favorite Links" section of Navigation Pane, and
I'm getting frustrated. When I'm looking at a Folder Window in Explorer, all
the icons in the Favorite Links portinon of the navigation pane appear in the
order that I want -- with my favorite favorite links showing up on the very
top of the stack. However, when I use the OPEN command from within a
Microsoft Office 2007 app such as Word, there are several new "favorite
links" that show up in the panel -- "Templates," for example, and "recently
changed" -- and they're sitting ON TOP of my own "favorite links." Since I
never use "templates" and "recently changed," I'd rather either get rid of
them or push them down in the stack. It's easy to push them down to a lower
position in the stack, but I can't find a way to keep them permanently. They
keep reappearing at the top of the stack, even if I've pushed them down lower
earlier that day.
I know this ins't the Office discussion group, but this seems to be a
Vista-related issue. This problem does not exist in Word 2007 when running
under XP. Any thoughts on how to keep the favorite links panel filled with
my, uh, real favorites? After all, they're supposed to be MY favorites,
aren't they?
Thanks!
