Ok.. I know where both of you are coming from. The point is.. I got it
fixed. Thank you very much. I don't know now it became unchecked. Oh
well, it is fixed and I am ready to go till next time I have a problem.
Thanks for your time and effort.
So, what's the difference, Unknown?

It would help greatly if you said 'right click' on start and select
properties.
You need to enable the "Enable Dragging and Dropping" Option in your start
menu properties. Follow these steps:
Start > Settings "Taskbar and Start Menu" > "Start Menu" > "Customize" >
"Enable Dragging and Dropping."
For New Start Menu:
Start > Settings "Taskbar and Start Menu" > "Start Menu" > "Customize" >
"Advanced" > "Enable Dragging and Dropping."

the weirdest thing happened to me. I wanted to organize some of my programs
in my program list.Went to start/programs and right clicked and nothing
happened but it just flashed. I have rebooted and nothing has changed. I
don't know what to do or even what happened. If this is not repaired I will
not have my programs in alphabetical order.
Thanks for your time and effort.
