Organizing photos

Hi. I dumped a HUGE amount of photos and other files on a backup drive, and
now I want to go and organize them, deleting the duplicates but I am having
a difficult time going through and sorting through the +150,000 files
scattered throughout the drive in many different directory's. I used the
"Search" program within windows to group them together but found it's much
too tedious. Any suggestions? Thanks.
