organizing favorites not working

Sympatico news

My favorites (specifically those in the Links folder) are not in the order I
want them.
They're sorted by name.
I went to Favorites...Orgainize favorites....dragged them into the order I
want, hit close, no change...still in alpha order.
Any suggestions from you wise folk?

Hello, I am no expert but you may want to try this. Your favorites are kept
in a folder just like everything else. Find your favorites folder using
windows explorer, (probably under c:/documents and settings/your computers
name / favorites) then click on the favorites tab to show your hotlinks.
Then, just go to the top to: view/arrange icons by / and de-select the
options that make it stay in alpha order.

Try rearranging them from IE without using Organize Favorites.
I have not used Organize Favorites for some years and am unlikely to
ever use it.
I can drag favorites in Links to wherever I want and they stay for the
next session.

Favorites. You might try it to see if it will help:
