Hi All,

I am having problems in organizing my favourites list in IE6. When I go
to Favourites->Organize Favourites, I see an image like this : Image
posted on the webpage: http://shjn.blogspot.com/

If someone has any idea how to fix it, please let me know. It seems
that the problem is related to activeX. Seems it is problem in
installing activeX or running ActiveX.

I have taken the following steps, but it has resulted in no use:

1) I have already played with my internet explorer settings for
activeX, but of no use.

2) I have also created another user profile on my computer and the
problem persists in that also.

3) ran vius checker, spyware.

I would really appreciate if someone can tell me how to get rid of
this. Otherwise I will have to go with a reinstall of OS..

Thanks,
Shrish

Windows version? Is the machine fully patched at Windows Update?

Do you get such Red X's for all graphics on webpages, too?

Hi Don,

I followed the first step, but could not understand how do I follow the
second step of "reenabling the add-on". Do I need to reinstall the
servicepack2?

Hi Robear,
My machine is fully patched. I do not see red X anywhere else. But I am
not able to see a funny little image - I am showing it on the bottom
image at http://shjn.blogspot.com

Thanks,
Shrish

Hi,
You would re-enable the add-on from IE> Tools> Manage add-ons. At "Show"
select "Add-ons that have been used by Internet Explorer." Then select that
Shell Name Space ActiveX Control [

Clicking the button to update the add-on wouldn't hurt.
