I'd like recommendations for paper to use with my 900-series HP inkjet
printers for ordinary daily printouts (in other words, not photo quality).
I'm using a duplexer attachment, so opaqueness is a consideration: it's
important to not be able to see the image on the other side of the paper.
I've been using "genuine HP Color Inkjet" paper (manufactured and
distributed by Hammermill). This paper name is not available in any of
the HP driver menus that I've got: so much for compatibility. The
results are good, but I've found no water-fastness advantage.
There is an issue, however, when price is considered. Paper prices have
risen dramatically over the last year or so, and "genuine HP" paper is
way out of line when compared with the fine Hammermill 20# "Copy Plus"
paper that I use with my laser-class printer.
I think that a true 24# paper will be required in order to prevent
see-through, but I'm willing to be wrong. What can you people recommend?
Thanks.
