I have made my first Movie Maker 2 video. 3,20 minutes
about skiing. Now number 2 about the Faroe Islands is
about to start - and here my question (I feel extreemely
dumb): When I open the MM2 the collections and movies
from the first film still shows. How do I save and delete
them so I can start from scratch with the 300++ pictures
and films for the next project? Of course I can just
delete them (ALT A and delete) from MM2, but I might get
the idea to nudge a little more with my first (and other
earlier projects) film later.
Are there a possibility to save the "Environment" around
a film and then start a new from scratch - but then later
recall an "Environment" from an earlier film.
Sorry to ask such dumb questions - but I have read and
read and not found the answer :)
Many kind regards

Hi Einar,

See the Managing > Collections page of my website, mostly the 'PapaJohn
Comments' inset.

Just back up (copy) the first collection database file.... move it out of
the normal place will result in MM2 starting a new one when it starts up, an
empty one that you can use for Faroe Islands.

Then, if you save them as separate files over in some folder, you can bring
them back into their normal positions. Just not the numeric suffix that MM2
is currently using and bring them in with that name. Do it with MM2 closed,
and the collection database will be there when you start up MM2.

And, if you build your base collections in MM1, you can import any of them
into MM2 when you want one. You can't import other MM2 collections, so
topical libraries of collections might best be built in MM1.
