I have a table with several columns
Reference, Product Name, Quantity.

If I want to order the products by quantity, how would I do it?
I know in some programs you just click at the top of the column and it
arranges it for you. How would you do this in excel?
Thanks,
Teo

Teo;

In my view you call this sorting.
If I understood you right, do this.

Select the whole range of data including the columnheads. (ie Reference,
Product Name, Quantity)
Then click in the Menu Data | Sort

First check My list has header row.
Then choose for "Sort by" and select by what column you want to sort it.

Mark.

Teo,

Mark's reply is on the money. If you follow his instructions, you'll be
fine. let me add this. There are some sorting shortcuts in Excel that can
be disastrous. There have been tears, the gnashing and gnarling of teeth,
and quite possibly wars fought when a table was ruined. Do not select only
the column you're going to sort on (quantity). If you do, it will sort only
that column, ruining your table, but may not be immediately obvious that has
happened. Depending on your release of Excel, you may get a warning. In
short, you should, 1) select only one cell, being sure that the selection
expansion it performs will select the entire table, or 2) select the table,
including headings. 2 is the safest. Never select one column, unless you
intend to sort only that column.
