Dear All
i am trying to get external data from oracle8i data base but it gives me
"Out of memory",iam using windwos XP and office XP,i can use the same ODBC
to get data using dream weaver application.
some body knows what is the reason?

It can be anything. But I usually get that error when the workbook is too graphically
overloaded -colors, formatting, charts, zoom, multiple windows ...

Do you get the error from a fresh new empty single workbook ?

Not good. You say that ODBC/Oracle works, so it should be an Excel problem then. In
theory. No addins running in Excel, no custom toolbars running or even existing,
fresh-new-and so on... error still ?

Thanks Harald ,i found the problem....
the oracle database which i want to connect contains more than 4000 tables
,and MSquery gives out of memory with the database contains more than 4000
tables.

4k+ tables is A LOT...
