oracle 8i enterprise doesnot working in ads service

Hi all
I am using windows 2000 server and my package uses oracle
8i as backend. I was planing to online the server..I had
installed active directory service .After the dcpromo iam
not able to start my package .It is giving an error that
oracle is not available. or shared M does not exists.
What could be the reason?

What is your configuration on DC ? Are you using Oracle Directory Service ?
Oracle 8i database server runs just fine on a AD DC.
