Hi everyone.
I'm not computer illiterate, but this problem is causing me no end of grief.
I recently bought a Compaq Presario S5000NX. It came pre-loaded with
Windows XP Home Edition. It has a Reltek NIC and I'm running Office XP
Professional. I'm seeing a message which tells me that OPXApp.exe has done
something bad... "memory location cannot be read". I've installed all the
patches via Windows Update and I even rolled the drivers for my NIC back to
the previous version. I'm still getting the error. The problem appears to
be triggered by Outlook but occasionally it just happens. And if my PC
doesn't blue screen out, I have to do a reset on my TCP/IP stack (I have a
..bat to do this thanks to my ISP).. and this appears to fix the problem,
until it happens next time.
Has anyone run into something like this? It's really starting to bug me.
thanks
