option to stop playing sound

Does any option exist to stop playing sound after any defined duration ?
Clearly, can I specify to PPT not to repeat an audio file ? And if positive
where can I set I ?

How is the music inserted in the first place? Through Insert > Movies and
Sound, or through Slide Show > Slide Transition?
