There is suppose to be a option named:
"open Browser windows maximized" under
Tools/Internet options/Advanced/Browser.

I can not find this option.

When I open a link in a new window I want it "maximized".

Cant find this option.

Please help.

Hi James,

There is no option in the UI.

1. Open a link.
2. Don't use the maximize button.
3. Stretch the edges/corners so that the window fills the screen.
4. Close all other IE windows.
5. Close the stretched window last.

However, the above procedure is not equivalent to SHOWMAXIMIZED API call.
Best option is to use "IE New Window maximizer"

(Uses Windows API calls and automatically maximizes every browser window you
open)

Kind of funny that MS wouldn't just put in that option. I mean, after all they did write the software.
Every other browser on the market allows you to open new links in a new maximized window.
Think I'll just switch back to Mozilla.
