Under the Windows 2000 interface, there is a checkbox in the user account
management panel--"Users must enter a user name and password to use this
computer." I cannot find this anywhere in the XP interface, even though it's
easy to find under Windows 2000. The only way I know to get at it is thru the
RUN CONTROL command. Has it been eliminated from the menus, or am I
overlooking something?

(Related: Is there a way to temporarily switch back to the Windows 2000
interface in its entirety?)

Start>Run>control userpasswords2 [enter]

I believe this will give you the function you want.

You can use the Classic interface instead of XP's theme.
