Can anyone tell me the best (i.e. most efficient) temperature for a CPU and
HD?

I've recently installed an additional adjustable fan (sucker and blower) and
I'd like to know the best temperatures for my PC.

Cheers.

If you want a completely truthful answer, don't worry about it, if you Pc
starts crashing and hanging all the time, that is when you could have a
problem, if not don't make your pc louder, you will only start to hate it!.

-271C is pretty close to optimal for a CPU and hard drive (just make
sure there's no moisture in the air, or ice will condense on your
components!)

-271 might be ok for the circuit board but I doubt the bearings would
be in tolernace anywhere near that temp.

I think I was joking :-) - but maybe I was half serious. Anyway, I
could only dream of running a computer in near absolute zero temperatures.
