I was wondering if anyone new of a way to optimize a large
(as in just 250+ slides with images) presentation for
running from a CD? Using 2003 and the Package to CD to do
the job. Except for my home computer, it seems to take a
while to start -- the CD will spin up, prompt me with the
2003 Viewer window then seemingly do nothing for several
minutes. Does anyone know what I might be able to do to
shorten this time, even to just load one slide first?
With a Flash file I'd break it down into smaller files and
link them, would that help at all with PowerPoint?

Loads of things you can do, including breaking it into a couple of
presentations. But first, start with:

Do this before using PowerPoint seriously

Don't do this with PowerPoint. Seriously.

What's the best resolution for images in PowerPoint screen shows?

Scanning - Bitmap Resolution - DPI
