Anyone know where I can get a optical mouse that has a ps2 connection
and not a usb? They are hard to find and I have only been able to find a
black one or they are out of stock. I have a kvm switch that will not
work with a usb to ps2 adapter.

Yes, yes, OK so far, Bob, but where's the all-important "not black"
argument? :-)

In Z.K. had this to say:

My reply is at the bottom of your sent message:

And the color is important why?

Here's an odd one... This may NOT work for you as I don't know what your KVM
situation is like.

I have a Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 that's USB with the PS/2
adapter. My optical did NOT work with the PS/2 meaning that I had to leave
another brand plugged in via PS/2.

The original optical mouse went belly up - it too was wireless - and was
replaced. This one works like an absolute champion with the converter
plugged into the KVM. It's funny because I'd never have checked but, well,
the OTHER brand also died... So... I plugged it in as a lark or a mistake
(I'm not really sure which any more) and sure enough it worked. Odd that...
I'm not sure if there's any changes made but, well, it worked here and the
price is such that examining the potential fix isn't that expensive really.

What's funny is that I don't use my mice much at all... I'm not really sure
how they die... Ah well.
