Opportuntity - Quantity Field Size

Is there anyway to increase the field size in the quantity portion of the new
opportunity window? Right now it only goes up to 99,999 units

Not with earlier versions of BCM.
This question came up before, and the answer was that this value was
baked in.

In BCM v3/2007 I tired incrementing the quantity field by factors of
ten and stopped at a billion.
