Hi! This OPINIONSQUARE got onto my computer. Antispyware
picks it up...classifies it as a moderate risk. When I
allow the antispyware to delete it, neither the internet
nor e-mail work and I have to revert to the previous
system restore point. I am using Windows XP HOme, Mozilla
Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, AVG, and Zone Alarm.

Has anyone else had this problem? I am reading bad things
about what OpinionSquare does and would like to get rid of
it. Any help appreciated. Thanks,

Hi,
Have you tried add/remove programs to see if it's sitting in there?

Have you tried a full scan from Safe Mode?

If the above fails, then lets' do this:

Use the method below which fits your OS version. If you are on XP SP2, use
the second method:

1) (winsock reset for 2k, xp pre sp2, and 2003 pre sp1)

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;817571

2) (Winsock reset for xpsp2)

netsh winsock reset

enter
restart machine.

After resetting Winsock, applications which have added themselves to the
stack will need to be reinstalled. These may include third-party VPN
clients, some McAfee privacy or network security related software, and
others--check what is working and what is not.

thanks Ron. I did as you suggested in option #2, and it
seems to have worked. Would never have known to do what
you suggested, so thank you!
