Is the ATI Radion 7000 a good card for someone on a Budget?
Also, can someone please tell me exactly what dual display
means.

Hi,

I can't comment on the Radeon 7000, but dual-display means that the card can
*output* to two separate monitors. . .

It's (7000-7200) a little wimpy for games. Shop around and try to get a 9000
Pro if you can find one at a good price. I'm living with a Sapphire 7500
(OC'd to 290/390) right now and I wouldn't want any slower than that (It's
ok in most games up to 1024x768). I have to do without some of the nice
features (to increase performance) in games like NeverWinter Nights.

bye, Rick

About the dual display... that allows 2 monitors to display separate
desktops from the same video card. I have my 7500 hooked up to a 21" and 17"
Sony. I play games on the 21" Sony and can still monitor my email, clock and
MSN Messenger on the 17" monitor at the same time.

It's also handy for doing "office work" like merging spreadsheets and
documents. It makes it quite easy to proof read updated documents by having
the old document displayed on one screen and the new document on the other
screen. Cut, scroll and paste without losing where you are.

bye, Rick

I've had pretty good luck with mine, except for
tech support from ATI, you can forget that.
