Its "snoozeware" and hard to stay awake while watching. There's no
interactivity meaning no copy and paste. The lessons may now be indexed
allowing fast forward or rewind but when your head starts bobbing up and
down as you fall asleep the lessons can only be put on pause but not saved
or bookmarked for future use. All kinds of other usability shortcomings.
That said, that is all due to the lame state of software applications
intended to be used for teaching over the web and the ability to pay for
better tools than can be used to teach over the web more efficiently. Using
the cheap stuff which has been used to develop LearnVisualStudio.net is
outstanding for very short presentations but it really puts a cramp on an
otherwise decent effort to teach ASP.NET using the web as a classroom. When
all is said and done the results are quite marginal and you'll be compelled
to move on and get back into the books, the web and the newsgroups.
