630W on the power supply is a bit overkill. This site has a very nice (and
accurate) power supply calculator on it. Check it out! :)

I just built a Core 2 system myself. It is so amazingly fast and quiet that
I constantly have to pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming ;) Here are
the specs:

Antec Sonata case
Gigabyte 965P-DS3 mobo
Core 2 Duo E6600
2x1GB Corsair XMS2 PC2-6400 DDR2
ATI X1900GT 256MB
Hitachi SATA150 80GB
X-Fi Fatal1ty
WinXP Pro SP2

Ahh, and before I forget to mention it: make sure your motherboard supports
the RAM you've chosen. The 965 chipset is extremely picky about which RAM
it will boot with. G.Skill has had the most problems based on my perusings
of the www.
