My University is offering free copies of McAfee v4.51 for all its students.

I'm currently running AVG on my desktop and Avast on my laptop.

Is it worth me switching, or should I just leave em as they are?

Cheers,
Dave

Hmm, add EZArmor to that list, seeing as it's a free download at the
moment...

Our university is encouraging and helping students install Avast on
their personal computers and laptops. It seems the best out there to
us. If you are running Avast, I wouldn't switch.

Personally, I'd put avast! on the desktop as well, since it updates a
lot more frequently than AVG.

Regarding this advertisement:
You, or it, can't be sure, or "certify" it, especially since it is
over a week old. Might as well not have it in your posts and emails.

I used McAfee earlier. OK, it has som extras (internet scan?), but I
think avast! is smaller, and easier to use, and has a great mail
scanner. Only thing against avast! is that the "unable to access file"
when you get a virus warning and try to delete the file - not good
(it's beacuse the file is in use, but others handle those as well).
