operation failed...registry/installation problem...

I am having two problems with Outlook.

The first: After recently reinstalling Outlook I get an error message "The operation failed due to a registry or installation problem. Restart Outlook and try again. If problem persists, plesase reinstall." I have reinstalled several times and the same thing occurs.

The Second: After recently reinstalling Outlook, I am unable to find any of my contacts. How would I find these on my computer and how do I get Outlook to recognize them again?
