I am having exactly the same problems as "Mark" and I'm thinking that something "built into" one of your programs or patches is set up to do this. My computer technician is having most of his customers having exactly the same problem, calls coming in like crazy and trying to work around the clock to find a way "around this problem"!!!!! All of his customers using Windows xp pro or home are having their systems slowing to a crawl!!!! So what gives and what are your people doing about it and when are you going to communicate to us customers about this situation. I've personal info about 13 of us ALL having this problem!!!!!!!!! Please help us and our techs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sherry;
What update was last installed on your computer?
Uninstall it or use system Restore.
Then properly prepare the computer before installing the update.

Try this:

I am having exactly the same problems as "Mark"...

Google toolbar with advanced features caused trouble for quite a few folks
when the valentine hearts started appearing on Google. Uninstalling, then
reinstalling the toolbar minus the advanced features has worked in many
cases.

The people you're addressing do NOT work for Microsoft. Basically this is just
a bunch of MS customers - like yourself - trying to help each other out.

The same thing happened to me after a Windows XP critical
update session. I found some system function was using
100% of the CPU and no time for other resources. I
finally had to restore a Ghost Image from Feb 3 to
correct the problem. I could find no way to isolate the
system function using the CPU and I could not turn it off
since seemed to to just continue in a software loop
grinding the system to a halt.
