kind ?

Built in popups???.You would have to go back to 3.60 but i think Opera has
always been adware of some description after all it has always had the paid
option ...

5.0 was the first adware-if-you-don't-buy version. Any version before
that will be without ads, but you'll only get a 30-day trial. Opera has
never had an absolutely-no-strings-attached version.

FWIW, I've just switched from Opera to the too-cool for words Mozilla
Firefox.

I paid for Opera, last version I used was 7.23, but it is no
longer on my machine, Firefox outperforms Opera by a long
shot. I tried not to use Firebird/Firefox, after all, I paid
for Opera, but Firefox is much faster and now more versatile
than Opera in every respect, so I uninstalled Opera and now
have just IE (use it only for updates) and Firefox.

Mike, I had Opera 7.5 Preview 1 as default then downloaded Firefox
which picked up all my Firebird settings which I thought was very
sweet. I ditched Opera 7.5 Preview but so far only reverted back to
Opera 7.23. Until I have more experience with Firefox I will continue
with Opera, BTW I also have K-Meleon installed.

Irrespective of what browser people use, isn't it nice that we don't
*have* to use IE.
