I have used the macro commands OpenQuery and OpenTables to
automate the conditional opening of a query and a table
respectively in datasheet view. The problem is that both
of these commands open the corresponding query and table
and they take up all the screen i.e. I can't see both of
them at once.

I would prefer if they are opened as popups and the user
can decide on which to maximize.

Can anybody help with how to make these opened query and
table show up as popups. I am reluctant to use forms since
the table being opened is an import error table and it's
not always created when the this macro is running i.e.
data import is mostly good. Thanks.

Pele,

You should be using forms for this. I do not understand your reason
for not wanting to do this. If the import is good, and there is no
error table, the form will be empty. So?

Steve,

Thanks for taking a look at this. It looks like Access
creates a new error table that is named with a number
appended at the end of it. If I use a form, the form will
still be linked to the old error table which is not
current anymore.

The error table is not static and it changes with each
problematic import.
